Description:

Within the scope of the “Regulation on the Establishment, Duties, and Working Procedures of Cyber Incident Response Teams” published in the Official Gazette dated November 1, 2013, and numbered 28818, cyber incidents refer to the violation or attempted violation of the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of information processed by IT and industrial control systems.

Cyber incident response involves identifying the source, causes, and consequences of a cyber incident that poses a risk to or compromises the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of data stored or processed in IT and industrial control systems, and taking measures to prevent the continuation, recurrence, or damage caused by the incident.

Cyber Incident Response Teams (SOME) are divided into Sectoral SOME and Corporate SOME.

Corporate SOME includes all public institutions and organizations with independent IT units and private sector organizations operating critical infrastructure. Sectoral SOME is responsible for coordinating and regulating the cybersecurity within its sector, arranging communication methods with Corporate SOME under its jurisdiction and USOM (National Cyber Incident Response Center), and overseeing, if authorized, the cybersecurity of the critical sector under its responsibility.

Fordefence handles the complete setup of a SOME for your institution, ensuring compliance in many areas from incident categorization to attack analysis.
