What are Digital Forensics?
Digital forensics is a comprehensive process that utilizes scientific methodologies to ensure that digital evidence related to crimes, found on various types of digital media, is understandably presented to the courts without being tampered with or damaged. In other words, digital forensics involves the examination of information in an information system for use in judicial (court/prosecutor investigations) or administrative (inspection boards, internal audit units, etc.) investigations to prove guilt or innocence.
